With my background in Biochemistry (B.Sc.) and Industrial Biotechnology (M.Sc.) my main interest are biocatalysts and the complex reactions which they facilitate.

My work within the PhotoSynH2 project is aiming to explore the diversity of [FeFe] hydrogenases and to use protein engineering to create efficient and stable biocatalysts for the in vivo hydrogen production. Therefore, discovery of novel enzymes and the characterization of protein engineered variants are of major importance.
